Rotating between different topics each week, Around the Hearth is a class designed to warm the heart of the children towards a variety of subjects. Each week consists of a carefully selected picture book to teach a principle or lesson. It is followed by an activity and craft that correspond to the picture book. We use science, math, history and emotional skills all to teach about God's workings in our lives and in the world. They will will also hear stories of great composers and become familiar with their music. The class begins with structured play followed by a devotional, short scriptures and poems for memorization and ends with an uplifting read aloud.
