Heroic Youth and Science for Knights

Heroic Youth: Mastering Knighthood

In this leadership class, the boys will get to learn in their own way--hands on, with movement, building projects, and survival skill projects in conjunction with and alongside delving into the lives of great men and their contributions to society.

Students will:

•       be inspired to center their lives on true and enduring principles

•       read biographies about great men to learn about their contributions and character traits

•      have hands-on, engaging lessons to help them more fully internalize and understand the principles being taught

•      learn survival skills (knot tying, compass, camping skills, etc.)

•      have regular P.E. games during lunch or in the afternoon

•      participate in simple, but meaningful, service projects once/month (including making toys to send to Africa!)

"In my opinion, the highest, noblest purpose in all our education from the grades to the university is to teach citizenship and noble character…" David O. McKay
