Biology & "Tuttle

Twins" Economics

"Tuttle Twins" Economics

In this economics class, students will be taught economic principles through the fun and engaging Tuttle Twins series. This book series take difficult concepts and, through stories and analogy, makes them simple enough for a child to understand. The books are appealing, fun, and very engaging. In class, the teacher will prepare interactive lessons and simulations to help students understand the principles taught in the books. Some of the principles include free market economics, entrepreneurship, inflation, personal responsibility, the dangers of socialism and much more!

The class will also include:

•     regular P.E. games (2x/month)

•     leadership and outdoor skills

•     service projects once/month (including making toys to send to Africa and doing family history work!)

Biology

In the science class, students will:

·      explore a variety of biology topics which may include animals, food chains, habitats, plant life cycle, the human body, ecology, cells, and genetics all from a Christian perspective

·      explore topics through hands-on experiments and activities

·     be challenged to think and reason to discover scientific principles during the experiments and lessons

·       read story-like science readings to help make science come alive

·       learn about some of the great scientists and how their profound faith underpinned their scientific discoveries.

Leadership and Science

Power of Stories

Science will come alive as students read engaging, story-like science books. They will also read the Tuttle Twins series and learn economic principles through interesting and memorable stories.
