Heroic Youth

In this leadership class, the girls and boys will learn about great men and women through hands on projects, relevant activities, and short presentations given by the students.

Students will:

•       be inspired to center their lives on true and enduring principles

•       read biographies about great men to learn about their contributions and character traits

•      have hands-on, engaging lessons to help them more fully internalize and understand the principles being taught

•      learn survival skills (knot tying, compass, camping skills, etc.)

•      have regular P.E. games during lunch or in the afternoon

•      participate in simple and meaningful, service projects once/month (including making toys to send to Africa!)

Biology

In the science class, students will:

·      explore a variety of biology topics which may include animals, food chains, habitats, plant life cycle, the human body, ecology, cells, and genetics all from a Christian perspective

·      explore topics through hands-on experiments and activities

·     be challenged to think and reason to discover scientific principles during the experiments and lessons

·       read story-like science readings to help make science come alive

·       learn about some of the great scientists and how their profound faith underpinned their scientific discoveries.

Leadership and Science

Power of Stories

Science will come alive as students read engaging, story-like science books. They will also read inspiring biographies to learn about the lives and habits of great men and women.

Hands-On Learning

Experiments will be a regular part of the science class. Group work and activities will also be incorporated into the leadership class to engage the students and deepen their learning.

Survival Skills

Students will also learn some basic survival skills such as knot tying, using a compass, shelter building & more. It will add a hands-on, outdoors element to help engage and interest the boys.

1:00pm Rotate between Outdoor Skills, P.E. games, Leadership Skills, Service & Folk Dancing

  • Ages 8-12

  • Fridays 9:30am-1:30pm

  • Classes held at Inspire Dance Studio in Clearfield

  • $125/month

  • Join us on Tuesday or Friday afternoons for parks, service and hiking from 1:45-2:450pm.

  • $240/month if you also enroll in a Monday or Tuesday history class
